Mompremier's block party in Gyor headlines Wednesday action

MUNICH (Germany) - Uni Gyor star Beatrice Mompremier swatted a sensational eight shots on Wednesday night in EuroCup Women, while plenty of clubs got rolling at the second attempt.

A late surge and stellar line of 19 points, 17 rebounds and those amazing 8 blocks from Mompremier helped Uni Gyor to slip past Botas Spor 72-65 in a hard fought Group F clash.

Meanwhile Natasha Mack came to play hard in the Group A clash between AZS UMCS Lublin and Crvena Zvezda MTS, with the forward instrumental in her team running out 83-57 winners. The forward excelled with 17 points and 17 boards to get the Polish club their first win of the campaign.

An electric 31-13 third quarter boosted NKA Universitas PEAC past Elitzur Landco Ramla 78-58 in Group B. Cassidie Burdick was sensational with 12 points and 21 rebounds, while Sierra Calhoun also proved tough to stop as she came up with 22 points. Virag Kiss added 15 points and 10 rebounds. 

Riquna Williams was the difference-maker for OGM Ormanspor as they eased out VBW Arka Gdynia 69-61 in Group D. The guard racked up a highly productive 26 points. 11 rebounds and 4 assists. 

A strong last quarter saw ACS Sepsi-SIC close out Nesibe Aydin 70-56 on the road in Group E as Bethy Manunga had a night to remember on the glass after pulling down a phenomenal 21 rebounds to go with her 9 point haul.

Brianna Fraser showed her class on Croatian soil in Group L as she propelled Flammes Carolo Basket past ZKK Ragusa 78-47. There was no stopping the French team's marquee star as she lit it up with 20 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals.

Movistar Estudiantes got it done 67-53 at home to  Rutronik Stars Keltern of Germany in Group H, benefiting from a strong team effort to get off the mark. They got 10 assists from Laura Mendez and 13 points from Becky Massey as the highlights.

Also in Group H, Lointek Gernika Bizkaia were undone 76-59 by Umana Reyer Venezia, with the Italians winning all four quarters and inspired by 17 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists from young Finnish star Awak Kuier.

Cadi La Seu will be kicking themselves after they lost 56-55 in a Group I nail-biter against domestic rivals Casademont Zaragoza. They had the free throws in the dying seconds to win the game, but Ariadna Pujol couldn't get them to drop. Leonie Fiebich continued her good form for Zaragoza with a team-high 19 points.

In the same pool, Castors Braine made no mistake at BBC Grengewald to get a first win, dominating from start to finish in a 76-52 triumph. It was built around 17 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists from Reka Lelik, plus 13 points and 9 boards from Jessica Lindstrom.

IDK Eustotren had the delight of claiming a 91-80 Group K success Zabiny Brno as Joy Brown erupted for 21 points and 14 rebounds, with Mariam Coulibaly adding 21 points alongside her.

Finally, Angers got a first win on the board after they soared past KP Brno 89-64 in Group L. French young gun Leila Lecan had 22 points, with Alexis Peterson getting a nice 17 points and 7 assists. 

FIBA
