THE FAVORITES
Though returning without a medal, Canada will resume their Women’s Series campaign as they long to retain the title, having won back-to-back seasons.
It’ll be the core squad in action with the Plouffe sisters, Kacie Bosch and Paige Crozon. The team has proven to be one of the most efficient and well-drilled sides in the circuit, having already won two stops this season. With home support on their side, Canada sit as the favorites.
A team they’ve come up against before is Dallas 3XBA. The American side has proven itself to be a force in their two appearances this season. They’ve made two finals spots but have just gone up short, once to team USA and once to the Canadians.
The team is gritty and full of offensive threats. Kaela Davis, Hannah Pratt and Evanne Turner will take to the court alongside the General Camille Zimmerman They’be been just a step away from a stop win so far; they’ll look to correct that in Saskatoon.
THE FIELD
Czechia have been a perennial threat in the circuit, having taken down many contenders in their run. They’ve proven to be a team that battles on both ends and has the ability to clutch up when needed.
Katerina Galickova will lead the side, joined by Kristyna Brabencova, Alzbeta Levinska and Tereza Vitulova. With incredible shot-making ability and solid defensive prowess, Czechia are not a team to look past.
Another team capable of catching fire is Puerto Rico. Led by Ashley Torres who’s known to be able to score from anywhere on the court, the team with Alicia Penzo, Mari Placido and Sariana Camacho will bring the energy when they take to the court in Saskatoon.
