MALAGA (Spain) - The Trophy Tour presented by J9 had its latest stop in Spain, the land of the defending champions.

Spain followed up their 2006 FIBA Basketball World Cup triumph in Japan with a second one in China four years ago. Fans on the Iberian Peninsula are hoping for a third championship this year.

The location for the tour stop, which took place on August 10-11, was beautiful Malaga in Andalusia, one of the homes of basketball in the great sports nation.

The trophy was first taken to Castillo de Gibralfaro, where around 300 people were present, including Spain national team stars Usman Garuba, Joel Parra and Dario Brizuela (photographed below) - three members of the EuroBasket 2022 winning team.

The trophy was photographed with the Malaga Plaza Toro de la Malagueta below.

The trophy was then taken to other famous spots in the city like the Picasso Museum, and the Malagas de la Encarmación (below). The cathedral opened in 1782.

It was also taken to the popular pedestrian and shopping street in Malaga called Calle Larios.

Inaugurated in 1891, Calle Larios is known as the most expensive street to live on in Malaga.
