TORONTO (FIBA U16 Women’s Americas Championship) – Canada Basketball announced the 12-player roster that will look to successfully defend the FIBA U16 Women’s Americas Championship title captured by the country in 2015, when a new edition of the tournament tips-off in Buenos Aires on June 7th.

"After a very competitive tryout we have selected 12 athletes to represent Canada this summer in Argentina for the FIBA U16 Women's Americas Championship," said Jodi Gram, Head Coach of the Canadian U16 National Team to the official website of Canada Basketball. "We look forward to a competitive tournament as we continue to grow our next generation of Canadian athletes."
The team coached by Jodi Gram will finish up its training camp on June 3 and will then travel to Argentina for the FIBA U16 Women’s Americas Championship taking place from June 7 - 11.
Canada, was drawn into Group A of the continental U16 competition along with the Dominican Republic, Argentina and Venezuela, and will start its U16 title defense against Venezuela on June 7.
