Event Guide
Valencia, Spain
Valencia is the third largest city in Spain, with just over 800,000 inhabitants, behind Madrid and Barcelona.
There are more than 100 flights to the city, as well as several high-speed train companies that connect Madrid and Valencia in an hour and a half.
It is the birthplace of paella, a dish that was born in the Natural Park of L'Albufera, just 10 kilometers from the city. The recipe of the so-called Valencian paella is the most authentic, with chicken, rabbit and vegetables as the base of the dish.
It has more than five million square meters of green areas, with the Turia Garden as the protagonist. A park more than nine kilometers long that crosses the city from east to west and runs along the old Turia riverbed, now diverted to the south of the city.
It is easily visited by bike, as there is a lane of more than 200 kilometers practically all over Valencia.
