DOUALA (Cameroon) - Hosts KSA extended their unbeaten run on Monday while Abeilles Basket fought back a 14-point deficit to record their first win Group C in Douala, Cameroon.

KSA's bench turning things around after poor start to the game
King Africa Basketball Club had an impressive start of the game, but things turned ugly in the second quarter for the Equatorial Guinean side as they fell 72-37.
A King Africa's 13-0 scoring run to start the game exposed Kadji Sports Academy's defensive focus at that stage of the game. They even led by as many as 15 points (22-5) early in the game.
But in a turn of events coach Auguste Nouwou's decision to call on his bench players ended the Equatorial Guineans' dream.
Arsene Junior Che scored KSA's first three points with a triple, cutting the deficit to 13-3.
Although the visitors led 23-11 at the end of the opening quarter, Kenneth Kadji and Jeremy Nzeulie propelled KSA's resurgence in the second quarter, leading 34-29 at the break.
Team owner-player Kenneth Kadji shot 5-for-7, including a 3-for-4 from behind the arc to finish with a team-high 14 points off the bench and Jeremy Nzeulie added 13 points also off the bench to help Kadji Sports Academy (KSA) improve their Group C record to 2-0.
Cameroonian Jean Vincent Mouatcho, the only King Africa player to score in double figures, finished with a game-high of 15 points while grabbing 7 rebounds, but his effort turned out fruitless.
KSA's bench outscored their opponents 53-7 while scoring 25 points off 27 King Africa turnovers.
Kamayengue rescues Abeilles
Abeilles Basket trailed Moanda Basket for most of the game, but when Yasser Kamayengue converted two of his free-throws with 1:43 left and gave the Central African Republic's champions a 69-68 lead, they never looked back to win their first Group C game 75-71.
Kamayengue finished with 19 points, Joel Ntambwe came up with a double-double performance of 21 points and 11 rebounds and NBA Academy Africa alumni Kurt-Curry Wegscheider added 13 points.
It was Abeilles Basket's first win in the group after a disappoint 79-61 loss to DR Congo's Chaux Sports on the opening day.
Moanda, on the other hand, dropped to 0-2.
