Basketball Champions League Asia 2024 Draw explained
BEIRUT (Lebanon) - The Draw for the inaugural Basketball Champions League Asia (BCL Asia) 2024 will be held on May 31 at 10:00 AM (GMT +4), at the Dubai Sports Council in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Asia's flagship club competition will be held from June 9-15 in Dubai.

Pelita Jaya Basketball (qualified from BCL Asia Qualifiers)
FIBA West Asia Super League Champions
FIBA West Asia Super League Runners-up
KCC Egis Basketball Club (Korean Basketball League Champions)
Hiroshima Dragonflies (B.League Champions)
Liaoning Flying Leopards (Chinese Basketball Association Champions)
Shabab Al Ahli Dubai (Hosts)
Draw Principles
In the draw, seven teams are distributed across three pots.
The pots are as follows:
POT 1: Liaoning Flying Leopards, Hiroshima Dragonflies, KCC Egis Basketball Club
POT 2: Pelita Jaya Basketball, NS Matrix Deers
POT 3: FIBA West Asia Super League Champions, FIBA West Asia Super League Runners-up
All eight teams (including hosts Shabab Al Ahli) will then be distributed evenly into two groups.
The top two teams in the standings of each Group will advance to the Semi-Finals.
In the Semi-Finals, the first-place teams from Group A and B will play against the second-place team from the opposite group.
The winners of each Semi-Finals advance to the Final.
The victor of the Final will be crowned champion of the Basketball Champions League Asia and earn the right to represent the continent at the FIBA Intercontinental Cup.
BCL Asia is rebranded from the FIBA Asia Champions Cup, Asia's premier club competition.
The inaugural edition of the tournament will take place from June 9-15 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
