Flamengo and Caballos, face to face

MANAGUA (Nicaragua) – Saturday's second match will be between the Brazilians and the Panamanians, in quest of the Semifinals.

MANAGUA (Nicaragua) – The competition's best moment has arrived, the final round will be held in Nicaragua with knockout matches. On Saturday, the second game will have Flamengo against Caballos de Coclé (the first one will be between San Lorenzo and Sao Paulo).

Flamengo is one of the undefeated teams of the tournament, with five victories in five matches, and it won Group D, also formed by Minas and Instituto. Gustavo de Conti's team found a great game, based on Olivinha and Marquinhos' experience, and they didn't seem to feel Balbi's absence, who tore his ACLs and was replaced in the last phase by Diego Figueredo.

"We're aware of the team we'll face from Panama, I was able to watch some of their BCL Americas' matches. It's a very physical team, with experienced players. We have to be as focused as possible to reduce the shot percentage from Caballos' players and to achieve a good victory," said Marquinhos, one of Flamengo's highest points.

In turn, Caballos de Coclé is in very high spirits after qualifying to the Quarterfinals at home, by defeating Titanes de Barranquilla in a thrilling match. The Panamanian champion qualified to the next phase with its second place in Group A, the closest group of the competition, and it has a lot of experience in order to go after Flamengo, the current runner-up.

"We prepared very well, and we're ready for what's next. They'll be a very tough team, like in all the matches we've played," said Ernesto Oglivie, one of Caballos' top men in the tournament and its offense leader with an average of 16 points per match.

This match will be the second quarterfinals encounter, at 2:10pm (local time), at the Polideportivo Alexis Argüello. The conqueror will play against the winner from San Lorenzo vs Sao Paulo.
