MIES (Switzerland) - Local organizers in the Philippines are calling for volunteers for the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023, which tips off on August 25 across three host cities.
The FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 held next year in the Philippines, Japan and Indonesia, will have Group Phase games played in the Philippines at the Araneta Coliseum and Mall of Asia Arena in Manila and the Final Stage to be played at the Philippines Arena in Manila.
The Volunteers Program, run by the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) is looking for 500 highly motivated individuals that can show the world the Filipino brand of hospitality.
A major component of the success of any event is volunteering, and the volunteers who make events such as the FIBA Basketball World Cup so enjoyable for fans and participants are instrumental to its success.
Those wishing to be part of the upcoming World Cup in the Philippines can apply now to be part of this flagship event.
Interested applicants can choose to volunteer in several areas, must be over 18, be residents of the Philippines and be fully vaccinated.
In addition to experiencing the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 up close and personal, successful applicants will also be entitled to official World Cup uniforms, meals, accreditation IDs, allowance to cover transportation and a certificate of participation.
This is the first time the World Cup has been held in the Philippines since 1978. Volunteering at the event where the best national teams in the world will play is an opportunity of a lifetime.
