    Neto ruled out for the World Cup after knee injury

    JAKARTA (INDONESIA) - Brazil point guard Raul Neto’s FIBA Basketball 2023 World Cup is over due to a knee injury sustained in the game against Iran.

    JAKARTA (INDONESIA) - Brazil point guard Raul Neto’s FIBA Basketball 2023 World Cup is over due to a knee injury sustained in the game against Iran

    Neto has suffered a rupture of the patellar tendon in his right knee, the Brazilian Basketball Confederation revealed in a press release. The incident occurred at the beginning of the third quarter in a game that Brazil won 100-59.

    The guard suffered the injury during his jumping motion and it was diagnosed with a magnetic resonance examination following the game.
