"It will be decisive games and we need a win to reach the FIBA Basketball World Cup, so we have to do everything, especially in the first game against the Virgin Islands. From the little I saw, it is an opponent who plays physically strong and this can complicate us, so we need to impose our pace, with speed and certainly we will qualify already in that first commitment," commented the experienced Alex Garcia.

"Being able to return to the Brazilian team after a period of injuries, being out of some stages, makes me very happy; I have to follow up the work, which started in the first round against Chile and Venezuela, when we got two victories, and now I hope two more positive results will come. I am very happy and, even though I am still not in the ideal rhythm, I feel very confident, I have worked hard, and I will continue to prepare well to be able to help", added the players of Sendi / Bauru Basket.

Brazil will travel to St. Thomas to face the Virgin Islands on February 21 and will then move to Santo Domingo to face the Dominican Republic at the Palacio de los Deportes.
