    Pots, procedure confirmed for FIBA Asia Cup 2025 Qualifiers Draw

    BEIRUT (Lebanon) - The FIBA Asia Cup 2025 Qualifiers Draw is all set on September 19 in Qatar and will be carried out according to specific draw principles.

    BEIRUT (Lebanon) - The much-anticipated FIBA Asia Cup 2025 Qualifiers Draw is all set on September 19 in Qatar and will be carried out according to specific draw principles.

    Scheduled at 18:00 local time at the Ezdan Palace Hotel in Doha, all 24 participating teams will learn their respective paths to the continental conclave in a ceremony to be led by icons Hamed Haddadi and Gabe Norwood, making the proceedings all the more special.

    The Asia Cup 2025 Qualifiers' draw principles will be based on the recently-updated FIBA World Ranking Men, presented by NIKE, and, of course, on geographical locations.

    The 24 teams taking part in the three-window qualifying tournament have been placed in 8 pots containing 3 teams each, with the top seeds planted in Pot 1 and 5.

    POT 1 - Australia, New Zealand, Japan
    POT 2 - China, Philippines, Korea
    POT 3 - Indonesia, Guam, Taipei
    POT 4 - Thailand, Mongolia, Hong Kong

    POT 6 - Saudi Arabia, Kazakhstan, Bahrain
    POT 7 - Syria, India, Iraq
    POT 8 - Palestine, UAE, Qatar
