BEIRUT (Lebanon) - Eight teams have completed the cast for the much-anticipated FIBA Asia Cup 2025 Qualifiers.
Palestine, Iraq, Qatar, UAE, Guam, Thailand, Mongolia, and Hong Kong booked their tickets after successful runs in the Pre-Qualifiers held in Doha and Ulaanbaatar.
Palestine was the first to secure a slot among the Group E teams after a masterful 80-46 conquest of Oman in the Pre-Qualifiers' opening gameday.

They were followed by Iraq, Qatar, and UAE, who are making their ACQ debut after falling short in the previous cycle that saw them bow out of the GBA Pre-Qualifiers.
First to clinch a berth from Group F, meanwhile, were Guam following a 75-69 victory over their Thai counterparts in the first day of group action.
Thailand would punch their ticket the following day. Ditto with Mongolia, who are just months into their first-ever foray in the FIBA seniors.

Hong Kong then finalized the cast with a 71-66 escape of Malaysia in the virtual playoff for the last flight to the Asia Cup Qualifiers.
The eight teams will join the 16 teams that have booked an outright qualification to the ACQ after seeing action in the previous Asia Cup in Jakarta last year.
They will be meeting reigning two-time champions Australia, Lebanon, New Zealand, Jordan, Iran, South Korea, Japan, China, the Philippines, Chinese Taipei, Indonesia, Syria, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Kazakhstan, and India.
The 24 teams will be divided into 6 groups of 4, and will play across three windows.
