CLARK CITY (Philippines) - Korea and the Philippines are the next teams to officially qualify for FIBA Asia Cup 2021 following the results of Korea’s recent win in the Asia Cup Qualifiers.

They join Lebanon, Bahrain, Iran, Kazakhstan, Jordan, and Syria as teams to have qualified through the first ever Asia Cup Qualifiers while Indonesia are also qualified as hosts of the event.

This leaves 7 spots that will be still up for grabs for the premier event in Jakarta later this year.

The top two teams in each Group at the end of the Asia Cup Qualifiers will clinch direct qualification. The remaining spots will be secured through the FIBA Asia Cup 2021 Qualifying Tournament format for third-ranked teams.
