    FIBA Asia Cup 2022 draw moved to early 2022

    BEIRUT (Lebanon) - The FIBA Regional Office Asia and the Indonesian Basketball Association (PERBASI) have agreed on Friday to move the FIBA Asia Cup 2022 draw to early 2022. 

    BEIRUT (Lebanon) - The FIBA Regional Office Asia and the Indonesian Basketball Association (PERBASI) have agreed to move the FIBA Asia Cup 2022 draw to early 2022. 

    The draw for the region’s flagship National Team event was scheduled for December 8, 2021, but will now take place in early 2022 because of the recent travel restrictions imposed by the local authorities in Indonesia.

    FIBA Asia Cup 2022 which will be played in Jakarta, Indonesia from 12-24 July 2022 will feature the best 16 teams from Asia/Oceania who qualified through the first-ever FIBA Asia Cup Qualifiers. 

    The sixteen teams qualified for FIBA Asia Cup 2022 are defending Champions Australia, Bahrain, China, Chinese Taipei, India, Iran, Japan, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Korea, Lebanon, New Zealand, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Syria, and hosts Indonesia..
