Multiple MVP winners Yang Donggeun, Ra Guna banner Hyundai Mobis' roster headed for Thailand

BANGKOK (Thailand) - Hyundai Mobis will be bringing along a talented cast of former and current MVPs to Thailand in their quest to win the FIBA Asia Champions Cup 2019.

BANGKOK (Thailand) - Hyundai Mobis were one of the best teams in the KBL from start to finish, nearly breaking the league’s all-time best record in a season on their way to winning a 7th title. Their mission now is to win the FIBA Asia Champions Cup 2019; a mission which they will operate with a loaded roster from top to bottom.

Hyundai Mobis' roster for FIBA Asia Champions Cup 2019
Bae Sooyone Choi Jeehoon Ham Jihoon
Kim Sangkyu Lee Daesung Oh Yong-Jun
Park Kyung Sang Ra Guna Seo Myongjin
Son Hyongjun Jacorey Williams Yang Donggeun

Leading the way is veteran and Korea national team star, Ra Guna, who also won his 3rd MVP award in the previous KBL season averaging 24.7 points, 13.2 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game. Ra has already played 7 seasons in the KBL and helping his team win the FIBA Asia Champions Cup would certainly be quite an achievement.

Hyundai are loaded with even more MVPs in their lineup other than Ra. Korean legend Yang Donggeun has been the face of the franchise ever since being the first overall draft pick in 2004 and he’s proved himself worthy of the hype with 4 regular season MVP awards to his name. The 38-year-old veteran is a key part in the Hyundai backcourt, averaging 7.6 points and 3.7 assists per game last season.

Another part of the guard rotation is Ham Ji-Hoon who won the KBL MVP award back in 2009-2010.

The brightest star of this Hyundai Mobis squad is the Finals MVP, Lee Dae-Sung, who was also on the shortlist for the regular season MVP award as well. The 29-year-old guard put up a KBL Finals run for the ages with numbers of 16.2 points, 2.5 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 1.2 steals per game while shooting 49.2 percent from the field and 38.9 percent from downtown. The FIBA Asia Champions Cup will be a good opportunity for Lee to build up on another breakthrough season.
