CHENZHOU (FIBA Asia Champions Cup 2016) - Here are the four games to look forward to on Day 3 of the FIBA Asia Champions Cup 2016 in Chenzhou-Hunan, China.
ONGC v Al Rayyan
Al Rayyan will look to finally break into the win column today after back to back losses on Days 1 and 2, but standing in their way are ONGC, which also lost yesterday to powerhouse Petrochimi. The undermanned Qataris will rely anew on Preston Knowles against ONGC, which is the only squad going all-local in this tournament.
Malaysia Dragons v Al Ahli
Al Ahli are looking to get back on the winning track after losing to China Kashgar last night, and they will be the favorites against the Malaysia Dragons today. The Dragons were blasted by Al Shorta in their debut yesterday, and they are expected to lean on Skylar Spencer anew.
Al Riyadi v Pauian
Al Riyadi is expected to come out strong after resting yesterday, but Pauian should prove to be a tough customer after the Taipei five notched their first victory against Al Rayyan. As always, Fadi El Khatib is expected to lead Al Riyadi along with Dewarwick Spencer and Wael Arakji, while Pauian will rely on Quincy Davis and Doug Creighton.
China Kashgar v Barsy Atyrau
The Kazakhs are hoping to be fresh and ready after taking Day 2 off, but their opponents lying in wait are one of the strongest teams o the lot. China Kashgar have beaten their foes by an average of 28 points these past couple of days, and there are no signs of slowdown for the home side. With Andray Blatche, Darius Adams and Zhou Qi clicking on all cylinders, the Chinese are favorites to get their third straight win.
