MIAMI (United States) – The FIBA U18 Women's Americas Championship draw for groups in the competition took place on May 16, determining the groups taking place in June in Argentina.
MIAMI (United States) – The FIBA U18 Women's Americas Championship draw took place on May 16, determining the groups battling it out from June 13 to 19 at the Obras Sanitarias Stadium in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Host team Argentina (2) will face Canada (1), Brazil (3) and Mexico (4) in Group A. Group B will have USA (1), El Salvador (2), Puerto Rico (3) and Colombia (4).
The United States have won the last nine editions of the event. Brazil took the top of the podium in 1992 and 1996.
The eight National Teams are competing for one of four available spots for the FIBA U19 Women's Basketball World Cup in 2023.
The eight qualified teams join the U18 Women's Americas Championship after playing in the CentroBasket and South American championships. The United States and Canada will represent North America.
