    ABIDJAN (Cote d'Ivoire) - With less than two weeks to the start of the qualification tournament for the Basketball Africa League (BAL) Season 4, FIBA Africa has confirmed the schedules and host cities for the Road to BAL.

    Over the course of four weeks in October, 20 teams are expected to compete in five African cities for a place in the Second Round Elite 16, which is billed for Abidjan (Cote d'Ivoire) and Johannesburg (South Africa) in November. 

    Find below everything you need to know about the 2023 Road to BAL campaign:

    Group B, West Division

    October 8-12
    Yaounde, Cameroon

    Palais polyvalent des sports de Yaoundé

    Teams: FAP (Cameroon), Bangui Sporting Club (Central African Republic), Espoir BBC (Gabon), Lamantines (Chad), *Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) representative.

    Fixtures:
    October 8: Lamantines vs FAP; Espoir BBC vs Bangui Sporting Club
    October 9: FAP vs Espoir BBC; Lamantines vs Bangui Sporting Club
    October 10: Bangui Sporting Club vs (*DRC); Espoir BBC vs Lamantines
    October 11: FAP vs Espoir BBC; (*DRC) vs Lamantines
    October 12: Bangui Sporting Club vs FAP; (*DRC) vs Espoir BBC

    The best-place team at the end of the Group play qualifies automatically to the Elite 16 Round

    Group C, East Division

    October 19-21
    Dar es Salaam, Tanzania 

    Dar es Salaam set to host First Round games of the Road to BAL for the second time in a row

    Teams: Pazi BBC (Tanzania), Kenya Ports Authority (Kenya), Dynamo (Burundi), Sebeta City (Ethiopia).

    October 20: Dynamo vs Pazi BBC; Sebeta City vs KPA
    October 21: Pazi BBC vs KPA; Dynamo vs Sebeta City

    The best-placed team at the end of the Group play qualifies automatically to the Elite 16.

    Group D, East Division

    October 18-22
    Gaborone, Botswana 

    Teams: Dolphins (Botswana), Bravehearts (Malawi), Unam Wolves (Namibia), Munali Suns (Zambia), JBC (Zimbabwe)

    October 18: Munali Suns vs Dolphins; Unam Wolves vs Bravehearts
    October 19: Dolphins vs JBC; Munali Suns vs Braveheart
    October 20: Braveheart vs JBC; Unam Wolves vs Munali Suns
