    AS Sale go past hosts ES Rades, as InterClube, US Monastir maintain unbeaten run in Day-3

    AS Sale who did not record any point in the first three minute of the first quarter rallied back to tie the game at half-time break 37-37.

    The quartet of Arnold Wayne, Abderrahim Najah, Abdelhakim Zouita and Soufiane Kourodu combined for 54 points, with Wayne recording game-high 31 points.

    Three ES Rades players including Mourad El Mabrouk, Averon Kelvin Mathew and Omar Abada came up with double digit, and account for 40 points in their losing cause. As result the hosts of the 12-team dropped to 2-1 mark.

    On their side InterClube have to dig deep to go past Ugandan side City Oilers 67-49.

    InterClube guard Gerson Domingos and Miguel Kiala combine for 32 points while Marcio Barros led the board with 10 rebounds. Ugandan international Stanley Ocitti led the Kampala based-side with team-best 13 points.

    In Group A last game of Day-3 Kano Pillars of Nigeria ensure its not just in Tunisia to fill the gap with an 83-66 win over New Generation of Democratic Republic of Congo.

    Both sides share equal points at Half-Time as scores stood at 30 points but a brave performance on the part of the Nigerian side in the second period prove too much for the Congolese who are making their debuts at Africa biggest club competition.

    Abubakar Usman, Abdul Yahaya and Azuoma Dike combined for Pillars 52 points while New Generation's duo of Jericho Aluma and Yohan Lokanga jointly recorded 26 points..

    In the Group B's much-anticipated game,Union Sportive Monastirienne of Tunisia knocked off the 2016 runners-up Sport Libolo e Benfica 77-72 in an exciting match-up to top the group.

    The Tunisian side trailed by 7-point at Half-Time 40-33 but have the game under rap in the third quarter and stay focus till the end.

    The duo of Kyle Vinales and Evariste Shonganya combined for 54 points in their winning cause. On the other side, Bastos Quinha and Andre Harris poured in 34 points but this was not enough to help the Angola seal the win for their team.

     Monastir now hold the record as the only team that is yet to drop a point in Group B.

    Early in the day, Ferroviario da Beira of Mozambique edged out ASB Mazembe 79-72 for a 2-1 record in Group B.

    Three players of Mazembe including Pitchou Kambuy, Gege Kizubanata and Rolly Fula Nganga poured in a total of 51 points but this was not enough to save their team from dropping it third straight game.

    Algerian champions Groupement Sportive Petroliers posted a resounding 103-75 win over Gombe Bulls for a 2-1 record.

    Mohamed Harat came up with game-high 26 points and 13 rebounds while his teammates Fayçal Belkhodja and Mustapha Adrar combined for 25 points.

    The tournament resume on Friday as Thursday will be a rest day for all twelve teams.
