Top 5 performers of Day 3 of the FIBA U16 African Championship

CAIRO (Egypt) - There's been a number of top performers on Day 3 of the FIBA U16 African Championship 2021 in Cairo, Egypt.

Mali started the day on a speedy note humbling Uganda 103-25 while Chad registered their first win, beating Cote d'Ivoire 59-46.

The last game of the day between Algeria and Egypt ended 72-53.

We present the top 5 performers of the day but in no particular order.

Malick Diallo (Mali) 

The Malian forward - born May 6th, 2005 - was the player that had fans focusing on his moves. He made 32 points, 17 rebounds and five assists to ensure Mali imposed themselves in the game.

Mbafe Kanigue Abdel-Karim (Chad) 

Abdel-Karim, was instrumental in Chad's victory over the more fancied Cote d'Ivoire side.

Despite his team being reduced to five players, he was on the floor for 40 minutes and ensured he kept his side in the game with his 17 points, five rebounds and one steal.

Christ Emmanuel Haoule (Cote d’Ivoire)

On a day so much was expected of his team, Christ Emmanuel Haoule led the floor in the game against Chad with 18 points, 12 rebounds, two assists.

Ibrahim Oumar Doumbia (Mali)

On a day Mali was practically running riots over Uganda, Ibrahim Oumar Doumbia scored 14 points, 2 rebounds and seven assists to push Mali to the century mark.

Adam Elhalawany (Egypt)

Egypt rallied to a third win to move inches close to the semi-finals with a win of 53-72 points in their favour. Adam Elhalawany led the floor for the host with 14 points, two rebounds, four assists
