Winners of the 2013 edition of FIBA U16 African Championship in Madagascar, Angola opened their preparation on Thursday in Luanda.

This year's continental championship will run from July 13-22 in Mauritius and it serves as a qualifier for the FIBA U17 Basketball World Cup 2018 in Argentina.
So far teams qualified for the 12-team event include Mauritius, African champions Egypt, Mali, Angola, Algeria, Rwanda, Madagascar and Tunisia.
