There are plenty of familiar faces from the 2015 FIBA Americas U16 Women's Championship, which saw Mexico compete with gusto on home soil in Puebla.

Patricia Ayala | Diana Cano | Ana Canesco | Maria Gastelum |
Diana Landin | Rebeca Morones | Valeria Navarette | Sofia Payan |
Alondra Pena | Sharon Rangel | Gabriela Rosas | Maria Ruiz |
Sharon Rangel and Valeria Navarrete are two of the standouts, with the former having produced some eye-catching contributions last year, which led to her dishing up an impressive 4.4 assists per game, while Navarette was not far behind with 3.6 assists per game.
They are joined by last year's leading scorer Maria Ruiz, who averaged 13 points per game on home soil as Mexico reached the Semi-Finals of the tournament.
Forward Diana Cano will also be an important figure since she carried the weight for her side under the basket in Puebla and that is one aspect of Mexico's game which will be under intense pressure and scrutiny.
Mexico have been drawn in Group B against Australia, China and France, as they look to build on what was a historic maiden FIBA U17 Women's World Championship triumph two years ago in Czech Republic, when they took down Egypt 76-70.
