Having been promoted to head coach, Jodi Gram will be able to utilise 10 of the players who catapulted Canada to the their maiden crown at the FIBA Americas U16 Women's Championship last year, in what was a blistering and flawless campaign in Puebla.

Having scooped the prestigious MVP accolade in Mexico, Alyssa Jerome is likely to once again lead the charge, as Canada prepare to play in Group A against Latvia, Nigeria and Japan when the action starts in Zaragoza.
"After a very competitive assessment process we have selected the 12 athletes who will represent Canada and looking to build on past success," said Denise Dignard, Director of Women's High Performance.
"Athletes have worked hard throughout the year and we look forward to seeing them continue their growth and competing against the best in the world at their age-group."
The team are scheduled to finish their training camp at the University of Toronto - Mississauga on 14 June and will travel to Spain for a three-game exhibition tournament prior to the FIBA U17 Women’s World Championship itself.
