MIES (FIBA U17 Basketball World Cup 2018) - The logo and brand identity of the FIBA U17 Basketball World Cup 2018 have been unveiled ahead of next month's draw ceremony.

The tournament's logo was created with the Argentinean flag as its source of inspiration. The two hands reaching up to contest the tip-off represent the two blue stripes on the country's banner, while the ball is a representation of the sun. The hands give the logo the sense of a journey unfolding.

The brand identity follows a similar path, with the sun as its main element to symbolize the new stars that will rise and shine during the 16-team event taking place in the Argentinean cities of Rosario and Santa Fe from June 30 to July 8.

The logo and brand identity were revealed during Friday's FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 Americas Qualifiers contest between Argentina and Uruguay in Olavarria.

The draw ceremony on Wednesday, March 14, is the next milestone event in the lead-up to the competition.

The 16 teams participating in the fourth edition of the FIBA U17 Basketball World Cup are:
    Host country: Argentina
