    DUBAI (FIBA U17 World Championship) - USA guard Malik Newman was rewarded for his impressive tournament and a huge game in the FIBA U17 World Championship Final against Australia on Saturday by being named the Most Valuable Player, presented by Tissot.

    He collected game-highs of 21 points and 11 rebounds in the USA's 99-92 win over Australia to go along with three assists.

    The USA won the crown for a third time - all three going undefeated for 23 straight wins in the three editions of the tournament.

    Newman was joined on the All-Tournament Team by his team-mate Diamond Stone as well as by the Australian pair of Isaac Humphries and Dejan Vasiljevic and Serbia's Nikola Rakicevic.
