ATHENS (FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2019 Qualifiers) - With a 2018 FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup date in the diary, the next task for Greece and marquee star Evanthia Maltsi is a winning start in the FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2019 Qualifiers.
The free-scoring veteran, who was sensational earlier this summer as Greece took an eye-catching fourth place at the Final Round in Prague, is the standout name on a 14-player list ahead of next month's games against Portugal and Great Britain.

Olga Chatzinikolaou | Eleanna Christinaki | Styliani Fouraki | Styliani Kaltsidou |

Maltsi rolled back the years with her performances in Prague and she is joined by the bulk of the side that impressed on Czech soil, including fellow veterans such as Styliani Kaltsidou, Aikaterina Sotiriou and Lolita Lymoura. There is also the welcome return of another golden oldie in Olga Chatzinikolaou, who missed out on a ticket to Prague earlier in the year.
Artemis Spanou of CCC Polkowice will add a strong defensive presence inside, with Angeliki Nikopoulou looking to continue impressing in the backcourt.
The camp will also be a special experience for Elene Tsineke, with the 18-year-old rewarded for pouring in a majestic 21 points per game for her country at the FIBA U18 Women's European Championship Division B.
Greece will also tussle with Israel in Group C.
