LJUBLJANA / TEL AVIV (Slovenia / Israel) - Natasha Mack produced a breathtaking display on the third day of action at the FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2023 in what was one of the best the competition has ever seen.
She not only headlines the Top Performers, but became only the third player in history to pass the 20 landmark in points and rebounds during an individual game. Mack finished with a stunning performance efficiency valuation of 37 after accumulating 22 points and 20 rebounds in a fantastic 61-58 success against Latvia. Meanwhile her tally of 20 boards was the joint fifth highest ever.
Daniel Raber did her best to inspire co-hosts Israel as they hoped it would be third time lucky in Group B, but they couldn't get it done as they crashed out courtesy of a 61-52 defeat to Czech Republic. The forward was superb with 20 points, 9 rebounds and a super 6 steals.
Virag Kiss and Hungary celebrated one of their best ever results in recent memory as they moved past Serbia 81-75 to take a ticket directly to the Quarter-Finals. A tower of strength, Kiss put up arguably her best ever performance to inspire the win after harvesting a double-double of 21 points and 11 rebounds.
Julie Vanloo excelled with Belgium as they also landed in the top eight with a third straight triumph in Tel Aviv. The guard was a focal point for their 72-64 win against Italy as she delivered 23 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists.
Finally, Barbora Wrzesinski put together her most impactful performance of the tournament so far with 13 points, 4 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals in an impressive 80-66 victory against Turkey to guide Slovakia into the Qualification for Quarter-Finals.
