    Based on efficiency, we have picked out five leading contenders to choose from and fans can cast their votes in the poll below. 

    Kiho Miyashita caught fire for Japan on day one with a blistering shooting performance in a one-sided success against India. She helped her team tip-off their title defense in style and with a victory by adding 27 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. 

    Isaem Choi went to work for Korea in their game against New Zealand which they won 85-69. The Korean forward has been out of the picture and missed Tokyo 2020, but has returned to action to prove a point. She registered 29 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists in a classy showing.

    In the very same game, Penina Davidson was very impressive too, the Tall Ferns center amassed 21 points and 11 boards, shooting a super 71 percent from the field.

    China are unbeaten in the competition and their young guard Liwei Yang has been central to their 3-0 start. She was too quick and composed for the Philippines as they overwhelmed their opponents. Yang made 7 of 9 from the floor, scored 21 points and also had 5 assists and 5 steals.

    Last but not least, Afril Bernardino was incredible for Philippines in their last game of the group stage against Chinese Taipei, While she could not prevent her team from a loss, she did everything in her power to get a win after a massive double-double of 24 points and 14 rebounds, while also dishing up 3 assists.
