Stage set for FIBA Women's Asia Cup in Bengaluru as rosters are confirmed
BENGALURU (India) - The rosters for all 8 teams at the FIBA Women’s Asia Cup 2019 have been confirmed and verified at the team manager’s meeting on the eve of the beginning of the competition.

Each of the participating nations has trimmed down their rosters to a maximum of 12 players, ready to play for the Women’s Asia Cup title in the upcoming days.

Group A Japan Korea Chinese Taipei India [/unordered] Group B Australia China New Zealand Philippines [/unordered] [/unordered]Teams in each of their respective groups will play in a single round-robin format from September 24-26 to determine the top team that will advance to the Semi-finals. The second and third ranked teams in each groups will be then play in the Qualifier to the Semi-finals, set to be on September 27. The Semi-finals will then be played on September 28, before the grand finale championship game on September 29.
There will be a lot of high-level talent on display at the Women’s Asia Cup, especially with Australia and China who are bringing at least half of their squad from the Women’s World Cup 2018.
One of the most notable stars that will be present is 2-time Women’s Asia Cup MVP Ramu Tokashiki who is returning to play with Japan for a chance at their 4th straight title. Australia’s Rebecca Allen and China’s Han Xu were teammates in the WNBA this past season, but will now be on opposing sides in India.
