BENGALURU (FIBA Women's Asia Cup 2017) - Center Park JiSu stepped up big time for Korea as they whipped higher-seeded New Zealand, 64-49, to advance to Women's Asia Cup Semi-Final.

The 1.95m JiSu had not made much of an impact for Korea early in the tournament, but she really blossomed here, putting up 19 points, 11 rebounds and 2 blocks in a near-unstoppable show of force. The 18-year-old averaged just 8.3 points per game heading into this matchup, but she found a way to carry Korea on her back and qualify for the FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup 2018 in Spain.

JiSu got ample support from Lim YungHui and Kwak JooYeong, who scored 14 and 11 points respectively.

It was a sorry result for the Tall Ferns, who were hoping to build on their stirring win two days ago and barge into the Women's Basketball World Cup. Jillian Harmon paced them with 13 points, but she shot just 5-of-17 from the field.

Korea will next face the winner between Australia and DPR Korea.
