Puerto Rico take majority of their Centrobasket side to FIBA Women's AmeriCup
SAN JUAN (FIBA Women's AmeriCup 2017) - Puerto Rico will take the core of their squad that clinched third place at last month's Centrobasket Championship in the Virgin Islands to the FIBA Women's AmeriCup.

The tournament tips off on August 6 in Argentina with the Boricuas squaring off against Mexico.
Pamela Rosado, who averaged 13 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists in St Thomas at the Centrobasket, is among those that will be with the Puerto Ricans.
Others that played at the Centrobasket that are headed to the Women's AmeriCup are Tayra Melendez, Ashley Santos, Angelica Bermudez, Paola Crespo, Michelle Gonzalez, Dayshalee Salaman, Mari Placido, Ashley Perez, Yolanda Jones and Isalys Quinones.
Allison Gibson is the newcomer to the roster.

Yum Ramos, the president of the Puerto Rican Basketball Federation, said: "We're pleased with the new group of the women's national team. We have four new members which guarantees us a generational change."
The youngest member of team is 19-year-old center Quinones while there is also 21-year-old Crespo, who is also a pivot.
Puerto Rico will also square off against Paraguay, Canada and Cuba and in Group B.
The top three sides will clinch places in the FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup to be staged in Spain next year.
