The 12-nation tournament will take place in Yaounde, Cameroon from Saturday September 18 with the winner to be decided on Sunday, September 26.
Teams will enjoy a rest day on September 21.
The event will be played at Palais Polyvalent des Sports in Yaounde (PAPOSY) with the entire Group Phase taking place in the first two days of the tournament.
The opening game of the FIBA Women's AfroBasket 2021 will be between the eleven-time African champions Senegal and wild card entrant Guinea at 11:00 am (10:00 GMT) in a Group C opener.
The opening day will be rounded up with Nigeria taking on Mozambique at 20:00 (19:00 GMT) in Group B matchup.
The winners of Groups A, B, C, and D qualify automatically to the Quarter-Finals while the remaining eight teams will compete in the Qualification Round to the Quarter-Finals on Wednesday, September 22.
The Quarter-Final takes place on Thursday, September 23. The next two days, teams will compete in the Classification for the 5th to 8th-places.
The Third-Place and the Final Game are scheduled to hold on Sunday, 26 September.
The Women's AfroBasket 2021 will be the 25th edition of the tournament with the top two teams qualifying for one of the qualifying tournaments for the FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup 2022.
Yaounde last hosted the tournament in 2015. Nigeria head to the tournament as two-time defending champions.
The four groups have been drawn as follows:
Group A: Cameroon, Cape Verde, Kenya
Group B: Nigeria, Angola, Mozambique
Group C: Senegal, Egypt, Guinea
Group D: Mali, Cote d'Ivoire, Tunisia
