Viliami Foketi – Tonga
The Tongan veteran, Foketi was superb through-out the tournament finishing as the top performer, averaging 21 points, and leading his team across all the statistics. His leadership and poise, attacking above the rim, dominating in the paint offensively and defensively is something every Tonga and basketball fan enjoyed watching.
Shareef Saipaia – Samoa
Samoa’s point guard debuted at the FIBA Polynesian Cup 2022 in style, leading the tournament as the top performer, averaging 23 points and 4.7 assists per game. His dominance and playmaking on the court inspired his team and most certainly future Samoan basketball stars.
Larry Teriitemataua – Tahiti
Larry’s ability to create for others was elite, and control the tempo of each game, to enabled him to lead his Tahitian team to qualification. Averaging 2.7 assist per game Larry is a wonderful example for all future Tahitian players to model their game on.
Marcus Alipate – Tonga
Backing up his performance at the FIBA Polynesian Cup 2018, Alipate once again proved why he is one of the most valuable point guards from participating Polynesian nations. A top performer, with great poise and skill of the competition, he averaged 19 points, 7 rebounds and 3.3 assists.
Ariirimarau Meuel – Tahiti
The veteran Tahitians’ sharp shooting throughout the tournament was exceptional and enjoyed by all watching the games averaging 17.7 points per game. Meuel played a main role in the defensive end, guarding the best players of opposition. The ultimate team player every team requires to succeed, doing the little things well.
