    NANTES (2016 FIBA Women's Olympic Qualifying Tournament) - Unlike other European teams - France, Turkey, Spain - who needed only three games to clinch a spot at the Rio Olympics, Belarus had to play five games in seven days at the 2016 FIBA Women's Olympic Qualifying Tournament (WOQT) to return to the Olympics for the first time since the 2008 Beijing Games.

    A 56-39 win against Korea, in the WOQT Fifth-Place Game, stamped Belarus' ticket to Rio.

    Yelena Leuchanka, Anastasiya led a group of seven Belarus players who featured at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. 

    Both Leuchanka and Verameyenka complemented an electrifying point guard Lindsey Harding, with dominant plays in the paint.
