Australia opened the tournament with a 155-point barrage. New Caledonia showed glimpses of skill and athletic but was outmatched by Australia’s size and scoring ability. They kept fighting until the last buzzer but just couldn’t keep up with the Crocks.

Samoa came out to prove a point against Palau, using their superior size Samoa put up 126 points while keeping Palau to 48. Although it seemed as if Palau had no answer for 6’5” big man, Tumau Tautau, they were able to display their athleticism and toughness. Dru-Leo Luesogi Ape, in particular, end up with 8 steals and 2 blocks.

New Zealand was able to exhibit their ability to make open shots as they shot 52% from the field as a team. Tahiti never backed down, pushing the ball any chance they had trying to catch the New Zealand defense off guard. New Zealand showed the rest of the tournament a taste of how good they can be running away with a 106-36 victory.

Host nation Guam put on a show for the home fans, nine (9) players scored in double figures on their way to an 117-point victory. Marshall Islands gave nothing away for free, challenging Guam every possession but were outmatched by the home team.
