    HERAKLION (2015 FIBA U19 World Championship) - Turkey clinched their first-ever podium finish at the FIBA U19 World Championship by beating Greece, 80-71, in the Third-Place Game at the 2015 U19 Worlds.

    HERAKLION (2015 FIBA U19 World Championship) - Turkey clinched their first-ever podium finish at the FIBA U19 World Championship by beating Greece, 80-71, in the Third-Place Game at the 2015 U19 Worlds. The Turks bounced back from their Semi-Final drubbing against Croatia with Furkan Korkmaz and Egemen Guven combining for 44 points and 16 rebounds.

    Turning Point: The game was still close early in the third quarter when Turkey began to pull away with an 8-0 run in the quarter, which ended with the Turks up 56-44.

    Stats Don't Lie: Turkey turned the ball over just six times while turning 17 Greek turnovers into 28 points. The Turks also held Greece to just 39 percent shooting.

    Game Hero: Korkmaz collected 28 points, eight rebounds and five steals to help Turkey to the victory.

    The Bottom Line: Turkey showed the energy they lacked in the Semis against Croatia and kept the rebounding battle close, losing just 45-40. Greece got 19 points from Tyler Dorsey but Vasilis Charalampopoulos played just nine minutes and went scoreless.
