The IBF accords great importance to inclusion and equal opportunity for all and hopes that by helping Special Olympics with basketball equipment, more people will have access to the sport.

During the Special Olympics Europe Eurasia Leadership Conference in Budva, Montenegro, leaders from 12 countries received 3x3 Molten Basketballs to take back to their country to use and promote further development of 3x3 basketball.

Balls were also distributed during the Special Olympics Global Young Athletes Workshop where continental representatives of Africa, Asia-Pacific, East Asia, Latin America, Europe and MENA (Middle East and North Africa) all received a box of Molten size 4 basketballs to promote the Mini Basketball movement in their respective regions.

The IBF is currently formalizing a cooperation with Special Olympics. When concluded, this partnership will complete an impressive list of NGO’s working with the IBF in using Basketball For Good: Right to Play, Generations For Peace, Peace and Sport.
