SAN JUAN (2016 FIBA Americas U18 Championships) - The International Basketball Federation (FIBA) in the Americas announced that the draw for both FIBA Americas U18 Championships will be on Thursday, April 16, at the Museo del Deporte, in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico.
The FIBA Americas U18 Women’s Championship will be played from July 13-17 in Valdivia, Chile, while the men's tournament will be played from July 19-23, in the same city.
The 8 teams that will compete in the FIBA Americas U18 Championship are: Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, United States and host, Chile.
The 8 teams competing in the FIBA Americas U18 Women’s Championship are: Brazil, Canada, Guatemala, Mexico, Puerto Rico, United States, Venezuela and host Chile.
The draw, which will see the teams divided into two groups of four teams each, will be held on Thursday, April 19 at the Museo del Deporte in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico, at 15:00 GMT-4 and it will be broadcasted live via youtube.com/ FIBA.
