YAOUNDE (AfroBasket Women 2015) - Senegal outplayed Cameroon in Saturday's Final to win AfroBasket Women 2015 and qualify for the 2016 Olympics.

The Senegalese ended Cameroon's unbeaten run in their capital city of Yaounde with a 81-66 triumph to claim their 12th African title.

Aya Traore and Astou Traore combined for 33 Senegal's points. Ramses Lonlack was the only Cameroonian to score in double digits with 14 points.

Cameroon will have a second chance to qualify for the Rio Games by playing at next year's FIBA Women's Olympic Qualifying Tournament (WOQT).

Turning Point: Senegal led for all but 49 seconds, leaving a sellout crowd at Yaounde Multipurpose Sports Complex,Cameroon cut the deficit to just five points late in the third quarter, but Senegal regrouped in time to clinch their first title since 2009.

Stats Don't Lie: Senegal exposed Cameroon's poor perimeter defense, hitting 5 of 14 three-pointers and leaving the home side helpless to come back in the game.

Game Hero: Senegal's Fatou Dieng was on fire in the first half as she made all three of her attempts from long-range and went on to finish with a dozen points.

The Bottom Line: For the fifth consecutive time an AfroBasket Women host lost the tournament. Senegal were clearly the better side, while Cameroon paid the price for poor shooting as well modest defence game.
