LUANDA (FIBA Africa Champions Cup 2016) - Less than 24 hours after beating Petro de Luanda, Recreativo do Libolo on Saturday beat Angola new champions Primeiro D'Agosto 69-68 to qualify for next month's FIBA Africa Champions Cup (ACC).

Even though D'Agosto Edson Ndoniema paced all scorers with a game-best 17 points, the game belonged to Libolo, who led all but 18 seconds of the contest.

Olimpio Cipriano came up with yet another displaying, leading his team with 13 points.

Although the game's outcome was unpredicted at half-time with Libolo Libolo leading 38-34, D'Agosto paid the price for trailing by as many as 14 points later in the third quarter.

With the win, the ACC 2014 winners closed their ACC Zone 6 qualifier undefeated in two games.

Meanwhile, on Sunday, D'Agosto will take on Petro de Luanda in a battle for the last ticket on offer for Zone 6 teams for the ACC Final Round, which will run from 7-16 December in Cairo.

The ACC Zone 6 qualifier has been limited to three Angolan teams following the withdrawal of teams from Mozambique and Zambia.
