MIES (Switzerland) - The FIBA Equipment & Venue Centre has introduced an "Endorsed Equipment" program into its approval structure.
Since its inception nearly three decades ago, the Equipment & Venue Centre's mission has been to aid the growth and development of basketball by ensuring that equipment has the highest possible standards of quality, safety and technology at competition and sports premises around the world. The aim is to provide the best conditions and equipment for the athletes, the general public and the media.
The Endorsement program has been introduced to stimulate innovation and to promote new solutions and technology to the basketball industry. The Endorsement program is currently exclusively available for products in training equipment and entertainment related product categories.
"By adding this new program to the Equipment & Venue Centre we provide access for the FIBA community to innovative products that have been tested and approved according to the highest standards in the industry," said Bart Prinssen, Head of Equipment & Venue Centre.
