FIBA launch Africa Youth Camp across three cities

The first elite camp which is aimed at players (boys and girls) under the age of 18, and coaches will be held across the three cities - Nairobi (Kenya), Saly (Senegal) and Abidjan (Cote D'Ivoire) - and will be conducted by twenty FIBA and NBA experts.
Running from September 6-9, Nyayo National Stadium Basketball Arena in Nairobi will host participants from sixteen countries.
Saly will host the event from September 10-14 at Institut Diambars while Palais des Sports in Abidjan will organise the FIBA Africa Youth Camp from September 15-19 with each event counting with the participation of coaches and players from more than ten countries each.
The FIBA Africa Youth Camp will focus on life skills, focus on combining basketball and education, leadership, character development, health and wellness.
The annual elite camp is one of FIBA Africa Development Council programs, and is organised with the precious support of the NBA Africa.

The technical team is led by Don Showalter (USA Basketball), Naoufal Uariachi (FIBA Expert) and other African basketball experts.
Lemou Benga - National Federations and Sport Manager and Kita Matungulu - NBA Africa Director of Basketball Operations - are to serve as the camps operations leaders.
FIBA Africa President Anibal Manave and NBA Africa CEO Victor Williams are to declare the exercise open in Nairobi, Kenya.
All COVID-19 protocols have been taken into account as all campers will go through a mandatory PCR test upon arrival in the venues while the kids are to have a consent form signed by their parents or legal guardian.
