    Birthday Boy

Jameel Warney has been on a tear in the Korea Basketball League (KBL) and the East Asia Super League (EASL) this season with the Seoul SK Knights. In the KBL, he's averaging 25.3 points, 11.8 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 1.1 steals, and 1.2 blocks per contest.

On 31 January, Warney celebrated his 30th birthday in a(nother) game to remember in the EASL, dropping 34 points, 18 rebounds, and 6 assists - the latter two stats being season-highs. Not a bad way to celebrate turning 30 for the former AmeriCup MVP who is averaging a mind-blowing 37.3 points, 11.5 rebounds, and 3.8 assists in the EASL.

    Mr. Basketball

Congratulations to San Miguel Beermen's Junemar Fajardo who the Philippine Sportswriters Association awarded Mr. Basketball on 29 January.

This is nothing new for Fajardo, who has earned the honors six times over the last seven years. It helped that Fajardo won his seventh MVP award in the Philippines Basketball Association (PBA) last season as well.

As a double bonus, Fajardo was also awarded as the PBA Press Corps-Pilipinas Live Player of the Week for his performance through 24-27 January where he averaged 15.3 points, 11 rebounds, and 3.7 blocks per game in the PBA Semi-Finals.
