    Day 2: Cimarrones and Flamengo advance to Semi-Final Phase

    QUIBDO (DIRECTV Liga Sudamericana) – Flamengo de Rio de Janiero and Cimarrones qualified to the Semi-Final phase of the DIRECTV Liga Sudamericana after capturing their second win in Group A.

    QUIBDO (DIRECTV Liga Sudamericana) – Flamengo de Rio de Janiero and Cimarrones qualified to the Semi-Final phase of the DIRECTV Liga Sudamericana after capturing their second win in Group A.

    Flamengo of Rio de Janiero added its second win of the DIRECTV Liga Sudamericana, after a 91-57 win over Hebraica Macabi of Uruguay. Following a hard-fought first half that ended with a 9-point difference, the Brazilian squad took control of the scoreboard and the game with a 49-24 second quarter. Hebraica shot for a 34% from the field, as Flamengo shot for a 48% from the field. Marquinhos led the scoring for the team coached by Jose Neto, with 18 points.

    Cimarrones continued the historic performance in the Sudamericana, and earned a trip to the Semi-Final Phase of the DIRECTV Liga Sudamericana, after an 81-76 win over San Martin de Corrientes. The first two quarters where even, and it was in the third quarter that the host earned the lead that would eventually earn the team the win, with a 20-13 quarter. San Martin fought until the last second, but the host celebrated the historic win and qualification.

    Tomorrow on the last day of Group A, Hebraica Macabi will play San Martin de Corrientes and Cimarrones will face Flamengo.
