    Unbeaten Slovenia top Group A after silencing France

    HELSINKI (EuroBasket 2017) - Undefeated Slovenia topped Group A after thrashing France, who finished third and will meet Germany in the Round of 16.

    HELSINKI (EuroBasket 2017) - Undefeated Slovenia topped Group A after thrashing a disappointing France, who tumbled to third and will meet Germany in the Round of 16.

    After a tight opening quarter, Goran Dragic and Luka Doncic dominated the second period to blow the margin out to 17 points at half-time. Slovenia eventually cruised to a 95-78 victory. Dragic had 22 points and 8 assists, while Doncic had 15 points and 9 rebounds.

    France was led by Nando de Colo's 16 points, while star Evan Fournier was ejected in the fourth quarter after fouling out and receiving his second technical foul.
