MUNICH (Germany) - Willie Cauley-Stein was a beast on the boards as he pulled down a FIBA Europe Cup record haul of 20 rebounds for Itelyum Varese on Wednesday.

The former NBA player became the first player to hit the single-game mark in the competition's history, passing several players that had previously reached 19 - included Keravnos BC center Travis Taylor.

Despite the impressive stat, which included 18 points on 8-for-11 shooting, it wasn't enough for the victory on Gameday 2 for Cauley-Stein's Varese as they were beaten 91-79 by BG Gottingen.

Cauley-Stein also narrowly missed out on a double-double against Keravnos BC on Gameday 1, finishing with 15 points and 9 rebounds in a 95-80 road win having made a strong start to the Regular Season.
