Hanlan picks up FIBA Europe Cup MVP award for January

MUNICH (Germany) - Gaziantep guard Olivier Hanlan has been named as the FIBA Europe Cup January MVP.

MUNICH (Germany) - Olivier Hanlan has been named as the FIBA Europe Cup January MVP after impressive performances for Gaziantep.

The Canadian guard follows on from teammate Conner Frankamp - who took the monthly crown for December - with their side flying high in the competition having guaranteed a trip to the Quarter-Finals

Hanlan's performances in January consisted of averaging 24.5 points per game on 79-percent shooting from the floor along with 5.0 assists and 3.5 rebounds as a major contributing factor to helping Gaziantep stay unbeaten in the Second Round.

The 29-year-old produced his best display against BC Kalev/Cramo with a 27-point haul in a 92-70 road victory having netted 22 points in a previous victory over HAKRO Merlins Crailsheim.

Gaziantep look to build on their current 4-0 record in the Second Round and continue their momentum heading into the Quarter-Finals with Hanlan another leading performer hitting top form.
