MUNICH (FIBA Europe Cup) - The penultimate week of action in the Regular Season brought along another batch of big numbers, with Nizhny Novgorod forward Alexandr Zakharov and Kenneth Barker of Keravnos taking the spotlight.
A fine defensive display by Barker helped him set the season-high in steals, while Zakharov got hot on the offensive end of the floor and had a career night in Group H with 30 points.

Uros Lukovic became the fourth player this season to register 4 blocked shots in a single game. The big man from Serbia turned back four shots in just 16 minutes of playing time, as Mornar Bar sailed to a 74-58 win over Kapfenberg Bulls. He was the quickest to hit the mark in the quartet of players sharing the competition season-high, with Caleb Green, Tommi Huolila and Justin Tuoyo also on the list.

The 4 blocks were not a personal best for Lukovic, who has registered 5 blocks twice in the 2015-16 season in the FIBA Europe Cup with Kumanovo from the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia.

A clutch performance down the stretch by Trae Golden might have earned ESSM Le Portel a place in the Second Round, as he finished the game with 23 points and 5 assists to lead the French side to a 73-70 comeback victory.

Keravnos guard Kenneth Barker set a new season record with 7 steals in a road win against BC Balkan in Botevgrad, also registering the third-best mark in the FIBA Europe Cup history.
The player also scored 10 points, dished out 7 assists, grabbed 3 boards and had to pay the price for his aggressive defense, fouling out in just under 25 minutes of playing time.
Despite their never-give-up attitude BC Balkan fall short (75-84) to Keravnos in Group D of the #FIBAEuropeCup.

Barker robbed the opposing side's point guard Devin Brooks three times, Pavel Ivanov was stripped twice, with Ventislav Petkov and Igor Kesar also losing possession to him.

The number of teams qualified for the Second Round increased by eight with ESSM Le Portel, Bakken Bears, BC Nevezis, Kataja Basket, U-BT Cluj-Napoca, Istanbul BBSK, Szolnoki Olaj and Nizhny Novgorod joining Egis Kormend and Keravnos, who already accomplished the task last week.
There are just six tickets remaining – two each in Groups F and G and one each in Groups A and C. The list of teams in contention for a place in the next round is also at 10, with 12 teams already eliminated.

Doug Wiggins became the ninth player this season to break into double-digit territory in assists, with the Bakken Bears guard dishing out 11 dimes in a high-paced game in Portugal that finished in a 108-95 win over SL Benfica for the Danes.

There were three new entries into the field goals made category of the FIBA Europe Cup record books, with Donar Groningen forward Evan Bruinsma, Alexandr Zakharov of Nizhny Novgorod and Bakken Bears guard DeVaughn Akoon-Purcell cracking the list for the best performances of the season.

Having made 13-of-18 attempts from the field, Bruinsma tied Nemanja Milosevic's season-high mark of 13 field goals made, while Zakharov and Akoon-Purcell also came close, with 12 and 11 makes, respectively.

After combining for just 15 points and 8 rebounds in his four previous FIBA Europe Cup games this season for Nizhny Novgorod, Alexandr Zakharov exploded for 30 points, 11 rebounds and 3 assists in a 95-70 blowout of Karposh Sokoli.

Evan Bruinsma churned out the third-best individual performance of the season in the FIBA Europe Cup, behind Darrin Govens of Falco Vulcano and Nemanja Milosevic of CSM CSU Oradea.
The Donar Groningen big man scored 34 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and got busy on the defensive end of the floor with 3 blocks and 2 steals for an overall efficiency score of 40.

Furthermore, his 34-point scoring total was the second-best this season and ninth all-time. Nemanja Milosevic has scored a season-high 36 points this season, while the all-time best belongs to Spencer Butterfield and John Roberson, who collected 39 each last season.
