MUNICH (FIBA Europe Cup) - Five more teams changed lanes and merged into the FIBA Europe Cup after Basketball Champions League Qualification Round 2, claiming direct tickets to the Regular Season.

This is already the second group of clubs from the Basketball Champions League to be incorporated into the FIBA Europe Cup, bringing the number of known Regular Season sides to 11, leaving 21 open slots.

Benfica (POR) and U-BT Cluj-Napoca (ROU) already took part in the competition last year, Bakken Bears (DEN) make a return after a one-year break, while Mornar Bar (MNE) and Nizhny Novgorod (RUS) will be first-time participants.

After losing in Basketball Champions League Qualification Round 2, Budivelnyk (UKR), Kalev/Cramo (EST) and Divina Seguros Joventut (ESP) used their opt-out clauses and will not join the FIBA Europe Cup.

The remaining places in the 32-team Regular Season will be filled by the winners of FIBA Europe Cup Qualification Round 2, as well as another group of teams arriving from Basketball Champions League Qualification Round 3.
